  1. What if I'm using Windows NT/2000, Linux or Unix as operating systems?

There is not much difference in configuring the hosts tables for computers that run under Windows NT, Linux or Unix platforms. All you need to do is change the edit file path.

For Windows NT, do the same procedure. When you go to the Run dialog window, type:
    'edit c:\windowsNT\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS' instead.

For Windows2000, the procedure is the same, but the path is slightly different:
    'edit c:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS'

For Unix and Linux, use your favorite editor to edit the '/etc/hosts' file.

When editing the hosts table, include the same information stated in Test Account FAQ's 3-4.

  2. How do I test my trial account using Frontpage?

    1. On the FrontPage menu, click on 'File'.
    2. Click on 'Open web'.
    3. On the folder name field, type 'http://yourdomain.com'.
    4. You will then be asked for your username and password. For your username, enter your domain name.
    5. You can now publish, upload, and edit your site as if you're online.
