Click on the 'Start' Button of your taskbar.
Click on 'Run'.
A dialog window will open. Type 'edit c:\windows\hosts' and then click on 'OK'.
Type the following on the text editor:
206.112.88.44 yourdomain.com
206.112.88.44 pop.yourdomain.com
206.112.88.44 smtp.yourdomain.com
206.112.88.44 ftp.yourdomain.com
206.112.88.44 yourdomain.com
This line lets you view your site via your computer. You just need to point your browsers to http://yourdomain.com.
206.112.88.44 pop.yourdomain.com
This line lets you receive e-mail. Remember that this domain is not registered in the Internet so you can't receive any e-mail. To test your POP account and POP server, you need to send an e-mail to yourself.
206.112.88.44 smtp.yourdomain.com
This line lets you send mail to anyone in the Internet using your unregistered domain's e-mail account.
206.112.88.44 ftp.yourdomain.com
This line lets you have FTP access to your site from your PC. You can then upload into or download from your test account. This also lets you publish to your site using FrontPage.
